Local Pain Educator and
Collectives Program
Pain is confusing. Explaining it shouldn't be.
Understanding pain changes everything.
If you work with people living with chronic pain, you’ve likely seen the blank look that says, “That didn’t help.”
The Local Pain Educator and Collectives (LPEC) Program exists for moments like these.
What is the Local Pain Educator and Collectives Program?
The LPEC program is for health professionals who want to make better sense of chronic pain, and get better at explaining it without the confusion or clichés.
It’s about learning how pain really works, finding better ways to explain it, and not having to figure it all out on your own.
Along the way, you’ll connect with others doing similar work and help build a local pain collective in your community.
In short, it’s learning that sticks, shared with people who actually use it.
What you'll gain:
-
A certificate in Pain Sciences from Adelaide University (formerly UniSA)
-
A clearer way to understand chronic pain, without drowning in theory
-
Better ways to explain pain that people actually nod along to
-
More confidence when those tricky pain conversations come up
-
A genuine sense of connection with other health professionals who get it
-
The know-how to run Local Pain Collective sessions in your community
Who is this for?
This program is for health professionals who work with people living with chronic pain and have a quiet sense that things could be done better.
Not because you’re doing it wrong, but because this stuff is complex, and no one should have to figure it out alone.
