Community Pain Champion

Lead The Change For Better Pain Care In Your Community.

The Community Pain Champion (CPC) program helps frontline health and community workers build the skills, confidence, and understanding to better support people living with chronic pain.

Whether you want to grow your impact, connect with others who care, or help your community see pain differently, this initiative is designed for you.

Register Your Interest.

Applications for the 2026 program have now closed, but this isn’t the end of the road.

You can express your interest now for future Community Pain Champion intakes and be ready to take the next step when it opens again.

What Is the Community Pain Champion Program?

This is your chance to take action, right where you live and work.

You’ll learn from experienced pain educators through practical, evidence-based training designed to fit around your life. As a CPC, you’ll become a trusted local resource, able to share knowledge, lead community conversations, and empower others to view pain through a new lens.

But this is more than a course; it’s about connection, leadership, and real-world impact. You’ll join a national network of people working together to build healthier futures, one community at a time.

Who Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for frontline health and community workers who want to make a difference in their communities, including:

  • Community health and support workers

  • Anyone with Cert III/IV in a health-related field

If you hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, explore our Local Pain Educator program. It’s designed for graduate health professionals who want to take the next step in pain education.

What To Expect?

The Community Pain Champion program runs for around six months, with approximately two hours of flexible online learning and mentoring each week.

Here’s what you can look forward to as a participant in a CPC program:

  • Practical, evidence-based training
