Australian Pain Society - Annual Scientific Meeting
Professor Mark Hutchinson gave a stirring plenary at the Australian Pain Society 42nd Annual Scientific Meeting in Hobart.
He spoke about the plan that he, Lorimer Moseley and a steering committee with a diverse range of members (including Painaustralia, ANZCA -Faculty of Pain Medicine, as well as research and clinical and consumer representatives) have been involved with for a year and a half: to establish a National Alliance for Pain Solutions.
They are in the process of refining an initial structure/governance/terms of reference/priorities, so any input, from anyone, would be
most welcome.
Under Mark’s leadership, this is a potential game changer for putting ALL our heads together so that Australians are no longer burdened by pain. Bold and ambitious vision, but hey, let’s go for it.
