Pain. Do you get it?

Pain Revolution’s Rural Outreach Tour is more than a ride – it’s part of a world-renowned not-for-profit movement driving change in how we understand and respond to pain, recognised by awards including the American Pain Society Prize for Public Service, the Engagement Australia Prize for Community Engagement, and the Group Insurance Prize for Community Impact.

Each year, a dedicated team of cyclists, health professionals, and community advocates support The Tour to raise awareness about chronic pain and the best ways of preventing and managing it, to share cutting-edge science, and to build meaningful connections in towns along the way.

If you're planning to attend a local event, be sure to RSVP - you'll receive event updates and go in the draw to win one of two $50 vouchers. It’s free to register, and everyone is welcome.

Check out what’s happening at an event near you, or donate to help those with chronic pain.

What is the Rural Outreach Tour?

In the last week of August, keep an eye out for the Pain Revolution Peloton dressed in yellow, coming to a town near you.

This is WAY more than a ride. The Rural Outreach Tour is an award-winning community public health initiative. It combines fundraising for Australia’s most burdensome health condition, with entertaining and informative events, all about ‘how pain works’ and what you can do to prevent and overcome it. Over the course of eight days, we’ll be riding from Bundaberg to Caloundra, stopping en route to deliver hope and knowledge and to support those affected by chronic pain.

Our peloton includes health professionals, researchers, and people who have lived through chronic pain or cared for someone in chronic pain. Everyone cares deeply about fair and accessible pain care. It's a shared journey with a shared mission: to bring evidence-based pain education and management strategies to communities that need it most.

In Partnership with Country to Coast Queensland

As the Platinum Sponsor of Pain Revolution’s 2025 Rural Outreach Tour, Country to Coast Queensland (CCQ) is supporting efforts to connect with health professionals and community members across rural and regional areas, fostering a greater understanding and support for pain education and management.

With high rates of chronic pain across the region, CCQ recognises the need for collaboration between health professionals, consumers, and those with lived experience. This sponsorship reflects CCQ’s commitment to healthier communities and a shared goal of building knowledge, connection and healthier futures for all.

Acknowledgement of Country

As the Pain Revolution Rural Outreach Tour travels through the Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast regions, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which these events will take place. We recognise the enduring connection of First Nations peoples to Country, and the wisdom and leadership they continue to bring to community health and healing.

Why It Matters

Chronic pain impacts 1 in 5 Australians, and rural communities often have fewer resources and less access to up-to-date pain care.

As a not-for-profit initiative, the Pain Revolution Rural Outreach Tour helps bridge that gap by:

  • Connecting local communities with pain experts and support

  • Empowering people with real-life chronic pain experiences through shared stories and solutions

  • Building capacity in your community by training and supporting health professionals in modern pain care

Every ride. Every conversation. Every event makes a difference.
