This revolution is people powered and we are confident that if we do it together, we can achieve much needed change to the pain care system! Pain Revolution is interested in getting everyone a seat at the table of change, whether you are experiencing or caring for someone in pain, a clinician, researcher or policy maker. We believe that through building understanding, together, we can support people in pain on their journey to recovery.
Below are some current opportunities to get involved. We are happy to receive ideas or suggestions on what you could offer in, above and beyond these listed.
Are you interested in coming together with other clinicians in your area to learn about persistent pain? Your Local Pain Collectives is an interdisciplinary group who meet regularly to build skills in applying the latest in pain science to the clinic. Current meetings are a combination of online and in person. New South Wales Local Pain Collectives are currently meeting in the Illarrawa, Murrumbidgee and Murray region. Western Australian Local Pain Collectives are currently meeting in Margaret River and surrounds.
The newly formed Pain Revolution Policy and Advocacy Committee are looking for passionate and knowledgeable people to become members. People who have experience in either policy or advocacy and are well connected will be highly regarded.
Do you have a passion for changing the pain care system and would be willing to join us to raise much needed funds to ensure all Australians get access to knowledge, skills and support to prevent and overcome persistent pain? It would be great to have you involved in the fundraising team. There are different opportunities depending on how much time you can offer.
