With our ride quickly approaching, here's where the rubber meets the road in the race to make a difference to how we help people living with persisting pain. We'll be leaving Sydney on the 11th April, 2018 heading for our rural communities and launching the Local Pain Educator Network.
These riders are the heart and soul of the Pain Revolution out on the open road. These are the clinicians, researchers and supporters that have not only paid their way to come on the journey, but their fundraising has been instrumental in establishing our Local Pain Educator Network.
These riders are giving up a week of their time to join us on the road. They've also sacrificed their early mornings and weekends for training, and gotten their family and friends on board to help and support. Pain Revolution is truly a community movement, and we cannot thank our riders enough for the work they do in bringing the mission to life.
Not only are the riders pedalling long distances each day, with a whole lot of hills in there, but they're an integral part of our educational program. They're running some of the evening events, talking to people at the Brain Bus, and being available to talk to the community at the events along the way.
We're proud to have Mark Collins, Matt Forster and Steve Kamper joining us for the second year (plus Angie Clerc-Hawke and Kal Fried, two of our 2017 riders, joining us as Project Officer and Medical Advisor respectively). The energy and the contribution of these incredible people to join us two years in a row is just more evidence that with these hearts and minds committed to changing pain, we can make a positive change in the lives of people that live with the condition.
